UAE Support towards SDGs and its Sectors of Assistance
In 2022, the United Arab Emirates made a notable leap in its support for Sustainable Development Goal
13 (Climate Action). The country’s commitment to this critical goal is evident in the surge of financial
support, increasing from AED 1.1 million (USD 0.30 million) in disbursements in 2021 to a substantial
AED 16.6 million (USD 4.5 million) in 2022. This represents the highest amount the UAE has disbursed
towards SDG 13 in the past five years, demonstrating a growing commitment to addressing climate
change.
