UAE Support towards SDGs and its Sectors of Assistance
02 Agricultural Sector
Understanding the need to amplify agricultural productivity in developing nations, the UAE has actively supported
global agriculture projects. In 2022, the UAE contributed AED 55.0 million (USD 15.0 million) towards this sector.
This includes aiding the development of sustainable agricultural production systems in Uzbekistan and supporting
multiple irrigation systems projects in Serbia, aligning with the country’s agricultural development goals. Other
nations, including Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Gambia, India, and Mauritius, also received funding from the
UAE to fortify their agricultural sectors.
