The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) serves as a pillar of compassion and care
in the United Arab Emirates, extending its protective shield to the most vulnerable segments of
society. As the first licensed non-profit shelter in the UAE, DFWAC has, since its inception in July
2007, provided sanctuary and solace to women and children who have endured the traumas of
domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking.

Going beyond its laudable domestic efforts, DFWAC has also made its mark as a significant
UAE foreign aid donor. Rooted in a deep commitment to upholding international human rights
obligations, the foundation champions immediate protection and a comprehensive suite of support
services for victims.
