The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement was signed between the UAE and Georgia, which aims to double non-oil trade from US$481 million to US$1.5 billion annually within 5 years.
The agreement was signed on the UAE side by the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, and on the Georgian side by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, His Excellency Levan Davitashvili. The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the Prime Minister of Georgia, His Excellency Irakli Garibashvili, also participated in the signing ceremony remotely.
Following the signing ceremony, a joint press conference was held in which the two sides spoke about the importance of this agreement.
In this regard, the growing dynamism of trade and economic relations between the two countries was emphasized, which is also indicated by statistical data.
