The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates opened in the Cypriot capital Nicosia on 31 March 2015, marking the presentation of the credentials of the first UAE Resident Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Abdulwahab Nasser Al-Najjar to H.E. Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, President of the Republic of Cyprus.
Soon after, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the UAE Embassy was officially inaugurated on June 11, 2016 in the presence of H.E. Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, President of the Republic of Cyprus.
