Cyprus House President, Demetris Syllouris, paid an official visit to the UAE on December 16, 2019, where he was received by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Syllouris also met with His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, President of the Federal National Council, as well as other high-level officials of the country. During the visit, Syllouris discussed the means of further enhancing cooperation between the Cypriot Parliament and the UAE Federal National Council, in addition to a number of issues of common interest between the two countries. Syllouris concluded his official visit and returned to Cyprus on December 18, 2019.
