The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) today commemorated the UAE Flag Day, an annual national occasion marked on November 3rd each year, to honor the flag as a symbol of unity and national pride, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to hoist the UAE flag across the UAE's federal and government buildings, reflecting the union, unity and cohesion between the nation’s people and leadership.
His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, hoisted the UAE flag on the main mast of the Ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Her Excellency Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, His Excellency Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sultan Muhammad Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organizations, His Excellency Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Trade Affairs, Her Excellency Maha Tayseer Barakat, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Health and Life Sciences, and His Excellency Salem Saeed Bin Ghafan Al Jabri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Security and Military Affairs as well as a number of the ministry's officials and employees. This occasion was an opportunity to express the spirit of belonging and loyalty to the homeland by raising the flag high in an atmosphere of filled with pride, reaffirming the commitment to uphold Emirati values and renewing the determination to continue the nation’s journey to progress in a spirit of unity and continuous giving.
UAE embassies, consulates, and diplomatic missions worldwide also participated by hoisting the UAE flag, in the presence of members of UAE missions from the diplomatic and consular corps.
