President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of congratulations to President Michael D. Higgins of Ireland on the occasion of his country's National Day.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, also sent similar messages to President Higgins and to Prime Minister Micheál Martin.

The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the agreement reached between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic on border demarcation, and reaffirmed its support for all efforts aiming to reinforce peace and prosperity. 

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed hope that this step would contribute to strengthening stability and constructive cooperation, as well as enhancing development and peace at both regional and international levels, to benefit both countries, their peoples, and serve their mutual interests. 

Furthermore, the Ministry underscored the close ties between the UAE and the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, affirming the country’s commitment to supporting their efforts to foster peace, development, and stability in the region. The UAE highlighted the importance of peaceful dialogue as the only way to resolve crises.

The Rulers of Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah received a delegation of senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who extended their heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, and extended their wishes of good health to the leadership, further progress and prosperity for the UAE, and blessings for Arab and Islamic nations.

The delegation's visit began in Ajman, where H.H. Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, welcomed the Ministry's delegation at Al Zaher Palace in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman. The delegation expressed their sincere Ramadan greetings, praying to Almighty God for His Highness's good health and the UAE's continued progress and prosperity.

In Umm Al-Quwain, H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, received the MoFA delegation at his palace, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Rashid Bin Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain. The delegation presented their best wishes for the holy month and prayed for further progress, prosperity, and blessings for His Highness, the UAE, and its people.

In Ras Al Khaimah, H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received the Ministry delegation at the Khuzam Majlis in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah. The Ruler exchanged Ramadan greetings with the delegation, who wished His Highness continued health and success and further progress, prosperity, and blessings for the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nations.

Alexander Stubb, President of the Republic of Finland, received a written message from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, regarding the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The message was delivered during a meeting here today between President Stubb and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the start of Sheikh Abdullah's official visit to Helsinki.

During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his best wishes for the progress and prosperity of Finland and its people.

In response, President Stubb requested Sheikh Abdullah to convey his greetings to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with his wishes for continued prosperity and development for the UAE.

The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations between the UAE and Finland and exploring new avenues for cooperation, particularly as the two nations celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed his pride in the growing and distinguished relationship between the UAE and Finland, highlighting a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration across key sectors, including economy, education, renewable energy, and advanced technology, in line with the development priorities of both nations.

The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the announcement by the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia on concluding peace negotiations, and expressed hope that this historic step would consolidate bridges of communication, dialogue, and stability, to achieve development for both Armenia and Azerbaijan, and across the Caucas region. 

Her Excellency Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs, underscored that the UAE supports all measures agreed upon by the two countries to enhance security and peace at the regional and international levels, and consolidate a settlement that initiates a new period of sustainable and constructive cooperation. 

H.E. Nusseibeh underscored that the UAE has deep-rooted relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan and is committed to bolstering cooperation between them to achieve mutual interests.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Ghana across several areas of mutual interest.

The two sides further affirmed the importance of reinforcing bilateral ties to achieve mutual interests.

As a key humanitarian donor in Northern Africa, the United Arab Emirates participated in the European Union’s third Humanitarian Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) on Sudan, which was hosted in Brussels. The high-level meeting gathered leading humanitarian donors and stakeholders from all EU Member States, international organizations, and key partner countries to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan through effective and collective response efforts.

The productive discussions marked a significant step forward in multilateral cooperation and the dialogue between humanitarian actors and donors in response to the humanitarian crisis in Sudan.

Participants focused on addressing imminent security risks and resolving logistical challenges through more effective coordination among UN agencies, NGOs and local actors, to ensure the timely delivery of aid and the unhindered access to all affected areas and peoples in line with international humanitarian law. Ensuring that aid reaches the most vulnerable communities, including the sick, children, the elderly, and women, remains a key priority for the UAE’s humanitarian efforts in the region. The discussions also highlighted the importance of supporting local responders through capacity-building and fair risk-sharing to achieve key humanitarian objectives.

The UAE’s delegation, led by His Excellency Rashed Al Hemeiri, Director of Development and International Cooperation Department, reiterated the country’s steadfast commitment to continue providing humanitarian assistance and supporting diplomatic efforts in an effort to mitigate the ongoing conflict. Moreover, H.E. Al Hemeiri expressed the UAE’s readiness to scale-up its humanitarian and coordination efforts to ensure that life-saving assistance reaches those in need.

Since its founding, humanitarian aid and the protection of civilians, have served as the foundation of the UAE’s policy. In this regard, the UAE is resolute in its position in relation to the crisis in Sudan since April 2023. The country’s primary focus remains on addressing the catastrophic humanitarian situation, and adopting an approach prioritizing civilians’ requirements and fulfilling their needs.

In this regard, the UAE has provided USD 3.5 billion in aid to the Sudanese people since 2014, addressing their urgent needs and supporting long-term recovery and development.

Since the outbreak of conflict in Sudan in 2023, the UAE has pledged over USD 600 million in aid, including USD 200 million at the High-Level Humanitarian Conference for the People of Sudan in February 2025, the first to be held for Sudan this year, which will serve as a catalyst for future conferences that are scheduled to assist the people of Sudan.

The UAE continues to lead global efforts to alleviate suffering, having recently inaugurated a field hospital in Medhool, South Sudan, following the successful establishment of two similar hospitals in Amdjarass and Abéché, Chad, which have treated nearly 90,000 patients. These initiatives reflect the UAE’s deep-rooted commitment to humanitarian solidarity and sustainable development in Sudan, South Sudan, and beyond.

During the meeting, held today in Stockholm, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and Sweden and explored opportunities for cooperation in various sectors, including economy, trade, and investment.

They also examined ways to expand bilateral cooperation to serve mutual interests and build on the strong ties between the two countries.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to further strengthening its relations with Sweden to support the aspirations of both nations for development and prosperity.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Minister Dousa witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Swedish Trade and Investment Council to enhance investment and business opportunities between the two countries.

The MoU was signed by Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, and Maha Bouzeid, Vice President of the Swedish Trade and Invest Council.

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) have announced the electronic integration of services between the two Ministries, in alignment with the objectives of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Program, linking MoFA’s document attestation service with MOI’s clear criminal record certificate issuance service. The new service allows customers to complete three government transactions in a single step through a unified digital window.

H.E. Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of MOI, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening integrated government operations in alignment with the UAE government’s vision and its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of life for the Emirati society. He highlighted the pioneering Zero Government Bureaucracy Program as a key initiative to eliminate unnecessary procedures and requirements while streamlining and simplifying the customer journey. He also emphasized that collaboration with all entities and partners remains ongoing to achieve these objectives and uphold the UAE’s global leadership in government service excellence.

H.E. Omar Obaid Hassan AlShamsi, Undersecretary of MoFA, affirmed that the Ministry remains committed to developing an integrated and interconnected government system, offering a seamless range of proactive and innovative services designed to serve both citizens and residents, simplify their lives, and enhance their well-being and happiness. This commitment, he said, aligns with the vision of the wise leadership to achieve comprehensive digital transformation and deliver world-class government services. H.E. highlighted that the electronic integration of MoFA’s document attestation service with MOI’s clear criminal record certificate issuance service marks a significant step toward accelerating and simplifying government procedures, reducing processing time, and minimizing the applicant’s effort.

This initiative is part of the electronic integration efforts and the proactive, collaborative government framework aimed at integrating the document attestation service with the digital services of relevant entities, in line with the objectives of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Program. Through a single procedure, the comprehensive digital attestation service enables customers to obtain digital attestation from MOI, MoFA, and the UAE embassy in the country of destination. It also significantly reduces the service completion time from six days to just three minutes, compared to the previous processing time of three days within the UAE and three days abroad. Additionally, delivery fees have been eliminated.

When applying for the clear criminal record certificate issuance service through MOI’s digital channels, customers can opt for MoFA attestation during the certificate issuance process directly from their MOI account. This enables them to access an integrated government service in a single step, eliminating the need to visit separate service platforms for both entities. This streamlined process ensures proactive, fast, and convenient access to the service through digital channels, centralizing the submission of certificate and attestation requests, as well as fee payment, within the MOI app and website. The system then electronically forwards the certificate to MoFA for attestation. Additionally, the electronic integration facilitates a smoother mechanism for handling service and attestation-related complaints via the MOI website and app.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today with Maria Malmer Stenergard, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, during his official visit to Stockholm.

During the meeting, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations between the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Minister Stenergard also discussed the strong bilateral relations between the UAE and Sweden and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors, including economy, trade, education, and culture, among others that support both countries' development plans.

The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s hosting of talks between the United States and the Republic of Ukraine, and expressed hope that this step will contribute to de-escalating tensions and reaching a comprehensive and sustainable solution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) commended the efforts of Saudi Arabia in this regard, and expressed hope that the talks will enable a cessation of suffering, prevent further loss of life, and put an end to the humanitarian crisis.

Furthermore, the Ministry called for committing to peace and enhancing diplomatic efforts to achieve regional stability, highlighting the importance of peaceful dialogue as the only way to resolve conflicts.

The meeting was attended by Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; Fatema Khamis Al Mazrouei, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway and Non-resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark; Abdulla Balalaa, Assistant Minister for Energy and Sustainability Affairs; Omran Sharaf, Assistant Minister for Advanced Science and Technology; and Omar Saif Ghobash, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and UAE Non-resident Ambassador to the Vatican.

His Majesty King Frederik X, King of the Kingdom of Denmark, received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, today at the Royal Palace in the capital, Copenhagen, at the start of H.H.'s working visit to Denmark.

During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, along with his best wishes for Denmark and its people for continued progress and prosperity. The UAE President also emphasised the deep bonds of friendship between the two countries.

In response, His Majesty King Frederik X conveyed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and expressed his best wishes for the UAE’s continued prosperity. His Majesty also affirmed the strong and enduring relations between the two nations.

The meeting featured discussions on bilateral relations between the UAE and Denmark, as well as ways to enhance cooperation in various fields to serve the common interests of both friendly countries and their peoples.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his pride in visiting the Kingdom of Denmark, highlighting the UAE’s desire to collaborate with Denmark in exploring all available opportunities for expanding and developing various areas of joint cooperation. H.H. emphasised that such efforts would support the development aspirations of both nations and bring prosperity to their peoples.

H.H. also extended his gratitude to His Majesty King Frederik X for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, expressing his best wishes for Denmark and its people to achieve further progress and prosperity.

The United Arab Emirates has welcomed the signing of an agreement to integrate all civil and military institutions in northeastern Syria into the administration of the Syrian state, and expressed hope that the agreement would lead to regional stability and peace, while strengthening efforts to achieve national unity and coexistence in Syria.
 
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reiterated the UAE's firm position in supporting Syria's stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity. Furthermore, the UAE expressed solidarity with the brotherly Syrian people, and its support for all endeavors aimed at fulfilling their aspirations for security, peace and coexistence.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of congratulations to President Dharambeer Gokhool of Mauritius on the occasion of his country's Independence Day.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, also sent similar messages to President Gokhool and Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam on the occasion.
