Shaikh Sauod Ali Al Mualla, Chargé d'Affairs of the UAE Embassy to the Republic of the Philippines, has participated at 57th plenary session upon the invitation of the Senate of the Philippines during the deliberation of the Resolution No 671 which expressing profound appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Mohamed Bin Zayed AL Nahyan-Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), For his gestures of compassion, concern, friendship, solidarity, and support toward the Filipino people in times of natural disasters and during the course of the Covid-19 pandemic. thus, Senator Richard Gordon expressed his appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for constantly helping Filipinos in times of adversity and disaster. Furthermore, he said that H.H Shaikh Mohamed Bin Zayed has established health centers, rebuilt 18 schools in Eastern Samar aftermath of the storm Yolanda, which is indicating that the UAE is rolling out vaccines for free to all residents on its territory, including Filipinos who have been working in UAE. On the other hand, Senator Lacson affirmed his support for the adoption of the resolution expressing the Senate’s deep appreciation to H.H the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Likewise, he said UAE Red Crescent officials visited the Philippines in 2014 and provided aid to 171 cities and municipalities affected by Typhoon Yolanda.
