Within the framework of the United Arab Emirates’ interest in developing relations with the brotherly Republic of Iraq, supporting its stability, and overcoming the difficulties it is going through, His Excellency Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Consul General of the country, received a Christian delegation headed by Pastor Daniel Behnam Daniel, and with the membership of Pastor Boulos Matti Ephrem, Safaa Sabah Ablahad, and Ayoub Gabriel Matti. During the meeting, relations between the UAE and the brotherly Republic of Iraq were discussed.
Aspects of the programs and projects presented and provided by the UAE to the displaced and refugee communities in the Kurdistan Region were also reviewed, as a reflection of the lofty humanitarian message that the UAE is keen to direct by adopting standing by the brothers, as well as delivering aid to all countries without distinction on ethnic, national and religious grounds. The bishop praised the UAE's interest in supporting and assisting Iraqis of all backgrounds.
The humanitarian support provided by the UAE to displaced Iraqis and Syrian refugees in the camps of the region was also discussed without discrimination on the basis of ethnicity, and this is reflected in highlighting the depth of the humanitarian message of the UAE in directing attention and care to the needy and the people of the affected areas. The bishop praised the state's efforts to spread a culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
