Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, visited Brussels today and conducted a number of meetings with high-level European Union (EU) officials.
Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy met with Margiritis Schinas, Vice President of the European Commission, Commissioner for Promoting the European Way of Life; Janez Lenarčič, Commissioner for Crisis Management; Olivér Várhelyi, Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement; Stefano Sannino, Secretary General of the European External Action Service; MEP Eva Kaili, Vice President of the European Parliament; as well as a number of other senior EU officials.
Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy discussed key issues with EU counterparts, including the current state of bilateral relations, recent developments in both regions, common agenda, the shared UAE-EU neighbourhood, stability and prosperity, key global challenges, geopolitical factors and their impact on international stability, humanitarian assistance and development aid, multilateralism, as well as other regional and international issues of mutual concern.
