The UAE Embassy Abuja hosted a literature competition for secondary school students in Abuja in 2020 as part of it cultural diplomacy activities aimed at promoting interfaith tolerance and cultural acceptance. The competition which featured 20 schools was one of the initiatives by the Embassy aimed at raising awareness on the importance of cultivating mutual respect among people of different backgrounds, especially at a young age. His Excellency, The UAE ambassador to Nigeria Dr. Fahad Obaid Al Taffaq delivered a speech encouraging the young ones to imbibe the spirit of openness and acceptance in their immediate communities and the importance of emphasizing commonalities that bind all people of different backgrounds.
