Ministry of Foreign Affairs Concludes Participation in the World Crisis and Emergency Management Summit (WCEMS) 2025

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has concluded its participation in the World Crisis and Emergency Management Summit (WCEMS) 2025, held under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The summit aimed to strengthen international cooperation in crisis management and present innovative solutions to address growing global challenges through discussions and workshops that brought together thought leaders and decision-makers worldwide.

His Excellency OMAR OBAID ALHESAN ALSHAMSI, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to adopting a proactive and innovative strategic approach aligned with the wise leadership’s vision, prioritizing the quality of life, well-being, and safety of UAE citizens. This approach supports a safe and reassuring travel experience for citizens worldwide by providing around-the-clock support and rapid response in the face of natural and climate-related disasters, security crises, or emergencies. H.E. Al Shamsi emphasized that the Ministry’s participation as a strategic partner in the WCEMS is part of its ongoing efforts to exchange expertise and explore best global practices in risk management and emergency response.

As part of the summit’s accompanying “Crisis Management Technologies Exhibition,” H.E. OMAR OBAID ALHESAN ALSHAMSI welcomed several high-level officials to the Ministry’s pavilion, including H.E. Excellency AbdulRahman Bin Mohamed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs; H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Government Cybersecurity Council; and H.E. Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

The visiting dignitaries were introduced to a range of the Ministry’s innovative digital services, including the “Early Warning for All” platform, launched in collaboration with the National Center of Meteorology, to enable preventive action during natural and climate-related disasters. They also viewed the “Rased” platform, which addresses security challenges and enhances the safety and security of UAE missions abroad.

Other services showcased included the "UAE Traveler" platform, offering destination-specific travel guidance, and the “Twajudi” service, which facilitates direct communication with UAE missions worldwide and ensures immediate support. Additionally, a 24/7 hotline is available to respond to emergencies UAE citizens may encounter abroad.
