United Arab Emirates Submits Periodic Report to Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

In line with its commitment to human rights, the UAE has submitted its combined 22nd and 23rd periodic reports on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

The report outlines the UAE’s efforts to combat discrimination in all its forms and details the implementation of the Convention’s provisions at the national level. It also highlights the legal, institutional and policy frameworks adopted by the UAE, which contribute to the promotion and protection of human rights, as well as the fostering of cultural and social diversity.

Additionally, the report reaffirms the UAE's commitment to creating a comprehensive and equitable environment for all members of society, while reflecting the progress made in advancing human rights in the country.

Notably, the UAE joined the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination in 1974.
